Reno Mauro, President and Pre-Construction Director, Owner
Reno’s expertise lies with mechanical estimation, design and installation for all aspects of plumbing, HVAC, gas and hydronic heating. He has extensive knowledge in designing mechanical systems and has completed many successful design assist projects for DMS clients.
Reno is a licensed gas fitter with an electrical endorsement, plumbing interprovincial trades qualification and certification with the American Water Works Association, British Columbia Section as a Cross Connection Control Tester. He completed his education with the Mechanical Contractors Association of British Columbia, in addition to Residential Hydronic Heating courses with the Canadian Hydronics Council and trade education at BCIT.
Reno is committed to applying his years of industry experience toward helping DMS Mechanical grow and succeed as one of the leading contractors in the Lower Mainland. Additionally, Reno has an unwavering commitment to safety and fosters a safe working environment for all DMS employees. He is also involved with many non-profit societies that help our communities’ kids stay off the streets and work toward a better future.
Victor Cimaglia, Vice-President, Owner, Director
Victor oversees the operation and management of our construction division for both new construction and renovation projects.
Victor is a journeyman sheet metal worker by trade and has been with DMS Mechanical since 2004. He has over 22 years of experience in the construction industry in plumbing, sheet metal, HVAC and general contracting, including 18 years in a supervisory position. He takes pride in the successful completion of all DMS Hydronic projects. With a strong commitment towards client satisfaction and successful relationships, he works with our field staff and management team to ensure excellent workmanship, attention to detail, customer care and health and safety standards on all projects.
Victor’s education includes completion of interprovincial certification in sheet metal, post-secondary education, and project management and construction management-related courses through MCA and SMACNA-BC training programs. He has also completed health and safety management courses through Construction Safety Network and CSABC.
Victor is an avid outdoorsman, and enjoys spending time fishing, practicing conservation of our wildlife resources, and enjoys travelling with his family exploring national parks throughout North America.
JAMES KEW, Field Supervisor
James has over 24 years of experience in the mechanical contracting industry. He finished his post-secondary education with construction and management-related courses through MCA and VRCA. He is a licensed gas fitter with an electrical endorsement, and a plumbing interprovincial trades qualification. He had supervisory and managerial positions for the past 18 years on many multi-million commercial and residential projects.
He joined DMS in 2016 as Field Supervisor, taking responsibility for the management of the various construction projects.
BARRY ODOWICHUK, Foreman
Barry was born in Saskatchewan and grew up in Alberta. He received his journeyman plumber ticket in 1981. After a 5-year stay in California, he settled in mild-weathered Vancouver where he worked for William Kelly and Sons for 8 years. He joined DMS in 2004 as a Foreman looking after the Capri and Taylor projects. Since then, he was in charge of various projects, such as the Central and Block 100.
Barry is a proud ’67 Camaro owner, and enjoys golf, hockey and motorcycles.
ALLAN HIGGINS, Foreman
Allan has been working in the plumbing and heating trade from the age of 17. He comes from Scotland, where he completed his apprenticeship in 1987. Allan moved to Vancouver in 2005 with his family, and has worked with DMS since then. He believes that modern living and technological advances has kept the company at the forefront in new heating, cooling and plumbing designs and makes the work he does challenging and interesting. He has looked after various projects like St John’s School, to the most recent MC2 site in Vancouver.
Allan loves living in BC as it has such a great variety of things to do. His family loves to take their trailer all over BC and into the USA. His hobbies also include fishing, and riding ATVs and bikes.
CURTIS ALLEN, Foreman
Curtis was born and raised in Powell River, a small town north of the Sunshine Coast, and currently residing in Maple Ridge. He joined DMS in 2005 as an apprentice, and is now a ticketed Plumber and Gas Fitter.
Specializing in mixed use Residential/Commercial new construction projects, Curtis is proficient in multiple aspects of the trade, including domestic water distribution installation, drainage installation, hydronic heating system installations, blueprint reading, problem solving, pre-planning, coordination, and management of large crews and sub-trades. He was at the helm for such projects as 2250 Commercial Drive, Arbutus Ridge and Aperture.
Curtis enjoys golf, fishing, camping, and home improvement projects.
LEE HIGGINS, Foreman
Lee moved to Canada at the age of 17. He began working with his father at a young age and took interest in the plumbing trade. He started with DMS as an apprentice over 10 years ago and became a Foreman in 2014, as his ability to supervise and his first-rate knowledge of and dedication to the trade became evident. He has overseen the Evelyn project in West Vancouver and Harwood in Vancouver.
Lee enjoys playing soccer and dirt biking in his spare time.
BRENN CAMERON, Project Manager, Corporate Safety Officer
Brenn joined DMS Mechanical as an apprentice Plumber in 2006. Since then, he has achieved his journeyman ticket in Plumbing and Gas, completed numerous safety courses in Injury Management, COR safety, Safety Program Development, Train the Trainer, among others.
As Corporate Safety Officer, Brenn has created and implemented a new Safety and Injury Management Program, which has reduced lost time injuries by 200%. In 2014, he also took on the role of Project Manager, and has taken part in the execution and completion of several successful projects.
His goals for the future are to continue to progress and build his knowledge of the industry. And, also to get a boat.
EDDIE LEE, Estimator, Project Coordinator
Eddie joined the DMS team in 2014. He started as Junior Estimator and has worked his way up to Project Coordinator/Estimator. He is responsible for providing estimate costs of proposed projects and coordinating projects that are in progress.
Eddie took up Mechanical Engineering, Systems Option at BCIT. He has passion for learning and he has been taking part-time studies at BCIT, to learn CISCO and Windows Server Management to expand his knowledge and role within the firm.
Eddie is also involved with many non-profit organizations that are committed to serving the community. He has been volunteering to help youth kids to stay off the streets and work toward building brighter futures.

JOE CIULLA, President, Owner,Director
Joe has expertise in building mechanical system components with all aspects of plumbing, HVAC, gas, drainage systems and Hydronics heating. He has extensive knowledge in designing, installing, servicing and maintaining complete mechanical, plumbing, drainage and electrical systems. He’s worked to make many buildings more efficient, consume less energy and follow a ‘greener’ direction for system operations.
Joe completed his education at BCIT, with additional course studies in Residential Hydronics Heating with the Canadian Hydronics Council. He is a certified gas fitter c/w electrical endorsement, plumbing interprovincial trades qualification and licensed with the American Water Works Association; British Columbia Section as a Cross Connection Control Tester. He also has a Provincial Instructors Diploma.
Joe’s many years in the industry and experience working with established organizations and commercial properties has helped DMS Mechanical succeed and grow into one of the leading contractors and service providers in the Lower Mainland.
ENZO SCIORTINO, Technical Service Manager
Vincenzo “Enzo” Sciortino provides expertise in communicating technical information regarding Plumbing, HVAC, Gas, Drainage, and Hydronic Heating Systems as the Technical Service Manager for DMS Service Ltd. Prior to becoming the Service Manager, Enzo provided plumbing services in the field as a plumbing technician. He implemented new technologies to provide more efficient services for clients. Enzo also promoted electronic field communication with clients, which led to real-time solutions to efficiently repair urgent mechanical deficiencies found on job sites including Residential Strata Buildings, Hotels, Restaurants & Commercial/Industrial applications.
Before joining the DMS family, Enzo was a successful entrepreneur in the service sector while completing his education. Enzo studied Information Technology Management at BCIT. He later pursued his Bachelor in Business at Capilano University, transferring to York University as an Economics major. Enzo also completed training with the BCSSA and is the Vice-Chairman of the Safety Committee for DMS where he works on ensuring that safe work practices are in place on all jobsites.
Administration
Joseph Mauro, Financial Controller
Joseph was born and raised in Vancouver, BC and is a graduate of Accounting at British Columbia Institute of Technology. He obtained a Degree in Accounting in 2004. He moved on to complete his CGA, CPA Designation in 2013.
Joseph has been providing accounting expertise to the construction and service division for the last ten years. He is responsible for overseeing the company’s accounting department, including establishing project budgets and tracking and measuring overall performance of the company.
In his spare time he enjoys a number of pursuits including running, tennis, and golf. He also enjoys coaching soccer for his boys’ soccer teams.
Christina Guanlao, Accounts Payable & Marketing Manager
Christina joined the DMS team in 2005. She is responsible for Accounts Payable management, Payroll administration and Marketing plan implementation.
Christina’s professional experience includes banking, finance and administration. She was head of the Credit Evaluation and Analysis Department for a finance company, where she assessed the creditworthiness of borrowers and the profitability of investment opportunities. She then completed the Executive Development Program of a Citibank affiliate, and was Account Manager for the Corporate Division. She later co-founded a finance company serving the needs of entrepreneurs.
Christina’s education includes Bachelor and Master’s Degrees in Business Administration. She is an avid traveler, and in her free time, strives to improve her yoga practice.
