Reno Mauro, President and Pre-Construction Director, Owner
Reno’s expertise lies with mechanical estimation, design and installation for all aspects of plumbing, HVAC, gas and hydronic heating. He has extensive knowledge in designing mechanical systems and has completed many successful design assist projects for DMS clients.
Reno is a licensed gas fitter with an electrical endorsement, plumbing interprovincial trades qualification and certification with the American Water Works Association, British Columbia Section as a Cross Connection Control Tester. He completed his education with the Mechanical Contractors Association of British Columbia, in addition to Residential Hydronic Heating courses with the Canadian Hydronics Council and trade education at BCIT.
Reno is committed to applying his years of industry experience toward helping DMS Mechanical grow and succeed as one of the leading contractors in the Lower Mainland. Additionally, Reno has an unwavering commitment to safety and fosters a safe working environment for all DMS employees. He is also involved with many non-profit societies that help our communities’ kids stay off the streets and work toward a better future.
Joe Ciulla, General Manager, Co-Owner
Joe has expertise in building mechanical system components with all aspects of plumbing, HVAC, gas, drainage systems and Hydronics heating. He has extensive knowledge in designing, installing, servicing and maintaining complete mechanical, plumbing, drainage and electrical systems. He’s worked to make many buildings more efficient, consume less energy and follow a ‘greener’ direction for system operations.
Joe completed his education at BCIT, with additional course studies in Residential Hydronics Heating with the Canadian Hydronics Council. He is a certified gas fitter c/w electrical endorsement, plumbing interprovincial trades qualification and licensed with the American Water Works Association; British Columbia Section as a Cross Connection Control Tester. He also has a Provincial Instructors Diploma.
Joe’s many years in the industry and experience working with established organizations and commercial properties has helped DMS Mechanical succeed and grow into one of the leading contractors and service providers in the Lower Mainland.
John Willshear, Field Supervisor, Co-Owner
John brings over 40 years of plumbing industry experience to the DMS team, including valuable expertise in high-rises, commercial and institutional work. A mainstay in the industry, John has been previously employed with many major mechanical companies in the Lower Mainland.
John takes tremendous pride in workmanship and ensuring projects are completed on time and on budget. A few of the projects John has worked on include: The Dunsmuir ‘Belkin House’, The Brava Twin Towers, The Airport Executive, and the Olympic Village.
Victor Cimaglia, Construction and Corporate Safety Manager
Victor is responsible for management of our construction division for both new construction and renovation projects. He also oversees the development, implementation and management of our health and safety program.
Victor is a journeyman sheet metal worker by trade and has been with DMS Mechanical for eight years. He has over 17 years experience in the construction industry in plumbing, sheet metal, HVAC and general contracting including 13 years in a supervisory position. He takes pride in the successful completion of all DMS projects and works with our field supervisor to ensure excellent workmanship and health and safety standards on all projects.
Victor’s education includes completion of interprovincial certification in sheet metal, post secondary education, and project management and construction management-related courses through MCA and SMACNA-BC training programs. He’s also completed health and safety management courses through Construction Safety Network and CSABC.
Joseph Mauro, Controller
Joseph is a Certified General Accountant and has been part of the DMS team for over five years, providing accounting expertise to the construction and service divisions. He is responsible for overseeing the company’s accounting department, including establishing project budgets and tracking and measuring costs.
Joseph contributes to the growth of DMS Mechanical by demonstrating strong leadership and initiative. His friendly, outgoing and eager attitude, and his exceptional work ethic have made him an asset to the continued success of the company.
George Chan, Managing Foreman for Service
George Chan has been in the construction and service industry for over 40 years and has become a leading technician for the DMS service division. He is very knowledgeable and provides his expertise to the everyday business of DMS Mechanical. George is a licensed plumber, gas fitter, electrician, fire protection fitter and is cross connection licensed.
George takes pride in his workmanship and stands by all his work to ensure the job is done in an accurate, timely fashion, George is an asset to the DMS Mechanical team and will continue to contribute to the company’s success over the years to come.
Christina Guanlao, Accounts Payable and Marketing Manager
Christina joined the DMS team in 2005. She is responsible for Accounts Payable management, Payroll administration and Marketing plan development and implementation.
Christina’s professional experience includes banking, finance and administration. She was head of the Credit Evaluation and Analysis Department for TransConsortium, a finance company, where she assessed the creditworthiness of borrowers and the profitability of investment opportunities. She then completed the Executive Development Program of CityTrust, a Citibank affiliate, and was Account Manager for the Corporate Division. She also co-founded Knoll, a finance company serving the needs of entrepreneurs.
Christina’s education includes Bachelor and Masters Degrees in Business Administration. She is an avid traveler, and has visited over 30 countries to date.
Eser Hurriyetoglu, Project Manager and Estimator
Eser joined DMS Mechanical Ltd. in April 2009 as an Estimator. He worked in Asia and Europe from 2004 to 2008 for mechanical contractors on projects such as factories, refineries, residential and commercial buildings.
Eser has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Turkey. He currently takes part-time courses in BCIT such as Mechanical Design and Calculations. He likes art, music, swimming and cooking. Aside from English, Eser speaks Turkish, Russian and Arabic.
